Will be sending a little something to the Eve Echo and wondered whether anybody did a PB in those horrendous weather condition! I don't think I ever got this soaked while out running, even before the actual race started!

I AGREE MICK THE WEATHER WAS A BIT ROUGH,WITH THE WIND AND THE RAIN. BUT GLAD TO SAY I ENDED UP WITH A PB OF 11 SECS.ALSO WELL DONE TO EVERYBODY ELSE WHO BRAVED THE CONDITIONS.A GOOD TURN OUT OF BENFEET RUNNERS AS ALWAYS. WELL DONE TO THE LADIES.

Bobby mentioned that you are writing something about Billericay 10k, too. Could you please let me know if so as I think it would look rather unprofessional if the Echo receives two separate articles. Thanks.

Hi Susanne - well done on the team prize!

Yes I cover all races on behalf of Benfleet for the Echo - the sports editor emailed me the week before to tell me a photographer had been booked for the event and as usual was expecting Benfleet to do well and that I would be submitting another glowing report. Naturally the triumphant ladies get a mention with special reference to the 3 new names to another successful ladies team

I am hoping that our ladies might feature in one of the Echo photos if we are lucky, the photographers are always looking for Benfleet vests

My report should be in the paper Friday I think. I asked the editor to let me know if it was going to be a different day.

I have had confirmation that my report on this will be going in Friday. It will be incorporated with the overall race spread with photos and Billericay Striders copy. Full results will be appearing in the paper too.
