Hi All,

There's been a couple of late route changes to Stage 4 (Little Leighs - Cressing) which your Stage 4 runners need to be aware of - especially if they've run it before and think they know it!

Paragraph 3 - Lines 8 & 9 (immediately after Rose Cottage at Fuller Street) are now different &
Paragraph 8 - Lines 1 & 2 are different (before Maltings Farm)

These are detailed in the most up to date version (6th August) on the website

Also note that Stage 10 (Ramsey - Harwich) has been corrected this year on Paragraph 7 which has been wrong for years and no-one ever picked it up until Rob Hadgraft last year!

Keep an eye on the Stop Press section of the website where Peter Woodard is trying to list 'breaking news'. Now that harvesting is well under way the Essex Way gets better by the day and the course monitors will be reporting any significant problems so we can try and get them dealt with before September 7th. If any of your club members live near the Essex Way they can help by doing a bit of light 'gardening' - especially clearing growth around stiles/footbridges and keeping waymark posts/signs free of covering growth. Don't always rely on someone else doing it.
