Thanks Deb.
I set myself a target of 60 seconds, worked out my splits and stuck to them as best I could.
It was a bit eratic, I was trying for 7:50 throughout rather than neg split, but that was down to an unexpected gradual climb and the dreaded hill at mile 8/9.
My splits were: 7:22, 7:56, 7:54, 8:08, 8:31, 7:35, 7:54, 7:55, 8:02, 8:13, 7:21, 7:10, 6:56, 0:38
tbh I got to mile 10 at 1:19:43 and realised it was now or never ... thank heavens it was downhill from there!
Nick was very modest about his efforts today but 1:25 is some serious running ... hats off to that man.
and as for Peter, I think I was behind him for the starting lap and then he was gone ... left me standing. |

I wouldn't worry too much about the eratic splits sometimes the course and conditions dictate the pace.
You finished strongly which shows you had good endurance. Even better to come for you at half marathon distance I'm sure.
I'm a wimp I haven't done this course because of the dreaded hills!! |

Hi. Not sure where to post this, so here goes. I wanted to email someone in the club, but there isn't a contact via the website.
Just a line to introduce myself. I am a local photographer who has done some photos with the Dartford Harriers and went to the Half Marathon recently and took some shots of finishers.
Thought you might like to let runners see photos of themselves at the end of the race.
I've been on holiday since, hence a bit of a delay.
Please go to the web gallery
http://www.photoboxgallery.com/EKSSC-Lamberhurst
and click on the link to the Half Marathon.
Images are available if anyone wants one. Perhaps you could include a link on your website.
I am available to cover events if you are looking for a photographer.
My main photography website is www.contemporarystyle.co.uk
Kind regards and enjoy the photos
