A few years back, in a effort to attract a Bigger-Breasted Dimmock to my garden, I invested in some rather fetching pub effect bench work to install as a feature on my bowling green lawn.
For the first summer the bench provided hours of happy use as a rather handy base for my whirly-gig washing line and even served as an excellent paint pot stand whilst I creosoted the fence.
My problem is this ...
It appears now that the bench is now to short for my lawn making it hard to locate come wash day.
Is it best to buy another bench to stand on top of the original or is there some way I can reduce the height of the lawn to improve access?

Any help would be appreciated

gmike
