OK, now we need to start getting this organised...

1. Does any one have any of the maps mentioned ?
If not, I will buy them.

2. We need to decide when (i.e which month) and how long (i.e 2 weeks?)

Hi Karl

How about we hold a provisional meeting for anyone who’s interested in helping out with the event ?

Anyone, and all ideas welcome

We could bounce some ideas around, to help get things moving

All we need do is set Time / Date / Location …. And we’re up and running

I reckon I could get hold of three of the maps (the buxton one and a couple of the sw ones - my dad has loads) but I might (Ill have to ask) be able to get hold of better versions as we have os software at work for doing surveys etc which just print them.

I suppose we need to make some key decisions:-
We know what -
we can work out how long it will take from the route no of miles and when we know that we can work out when in terms of dates.
Then we need to all put our heads together about exactly what needs doing grand list brain storming format then divvy up the work.
To do the last bit I think there needs to be an organising group/committee as Mike suggests to determine what needs doing.  Big brainstorming exercise thing to collate thoughts and determine actions.

Just my thoughts
Lucy

Happy to help organize, drive a bit, run a bit etc & have 1:50,000 OS maps for the Country on my laptop, that may be handy.

However, I think the maps Karl is talking about are route guides from the Cycle Touring Club  salute
