Hello,

Next Session – Tuesday 12th February

PLEASE NOTE THE HALL WILL BE SHUT FOR HALF-TERM ON TUESDAY 12th FEBRUARY.

We will be at Waterside Track, Canvey. Waterside charge is a £1 per person.

Please meet on the track at 6pm please, and collect from the track at 7pm.

This is an extra session, so we realise some people will be on holiday, or unable to attend.

So no worries if you can't make it.

This session will be all outdoors, so please ensure you have adequate clothing layers, and a waterproof.

We hope to make the track session a monthly event in the future.

Norwich Union Shine Awards

The Norwich Union shine:awards is an awards scheme with a difference!

Complete your award at school or at your club and receive certificates and medals!

We have done a couple of practice sessions in some of these events, and will start timing, and measuring over the coming weeks.

We will then start to give the children personal print-outs of their current performance and their next goal levels to achieve and see what stickers, certificates and medals they can aim for.

Jackets

We have found a supplier of jackets suitable for the children, similar to the adult version.

We will post a list for anyone who is interested in purchasing one. Approximate price will be in the region of £ 12.

Sport Relief Weekend 14th-16th March
Saturday 15th March – we will be organising a 1 mile run with children and parents.

More details soon, but please ensure you have purchased your Comic Relief socks from Sainsbury’s in good time !

We will be running a £ 2.00 lottery Sport Relief poster.

If you want to join in and pick a celebrity, please bring your money along to the session.

Half the money raised will go to the winner, and half to Comic Relief.

Lastly

We now have 35 paid junior members, and have had a total of 50 runners attending over the last few months. Thank you.
