Hello,
We are still chasing in membership forms, and monies.
We are looking into another t-shirt order, and also club jackets.
We will let you know when we have prices, etc.
IMPORTANT REMINDER – please ensure you drop off, and collect your children from inside the hall. We do not want them wandering around the car parks trying to find you after the session. Your help in this is appreciated.
Next Session – Tuesday 29th January
The outdoor runs went well last week, and we will continue to do this every week so please make sure everyone has several layers to wear on the runs. We will be purchasing high-viz bibs for the groups to wear. PLEASE ensure your children sign-in when they arrive, this is doubly important as we are taking groups off-site.
Over the next few weeks we will be grading, and assessing all the junior members.
We plan to run maybe a monthly session at Waterside Sports Centre, Canvey so the children can run on the athletics track there. This will be pay-to-run, as the track charges a couple of pound each to use it. We will let you know when.
Next Race - 9th February
We are focusing on the Brands Hatch 1 mile fun run as the next race. A few of our children are taking part, and if yours is interested they may have brought home the entry form. Closing date for this is 1st February, and we can send off the forms together if forms and payment are returned LATEST this week. You can also send your own form off, if required.
Norwich Union Shine Awards
As mentioned previously, we have enrolled the Junior Club in the Norwich Union shine:awards and will be focusing heavily on the children’s involvement in this National Scheme to hopefully gain their certificates and medals and have fun !
The Norwich Union shine:awards is a flagship development of UK Athletics, which reflects its vision - 'fun to fulfilment'. More details can be found on http://www.norwichunionshineawards.com
We will be incorporating many of the activities into our weekly sessions.
We do need a completed membership form, and club fees paid please if they are to be enrolled into the scheme, and they can then work towards certificates and medals.
Sport Relief Weekend 14th-16th March
The Maldon race, as most of the other local ones, is on the Sunday, so we will organise our own little race. More details to follow…. Saturday 15th March with a 1 mile run with children and parents ?

Our session ends at 7pm, and we have a football training session straight after ours, so please vacate the hall quickly, or risk getting hit by flying footballs !
Lastly
If you want to join in, or help at the session in any way we would LOVE you to get involved. Just come and see one of the leaders. If you want to get involved we will quite happily send you on any relevant courses.
