Hi Karl

Can I refer you to the shoe guide ( which used to be on the website !!! )

Cushion Shoes

If your footprint looks like the one below (with a very narrow band or no band at all between the forefoot and the heel) then you should choose shoes from the cushion category. Cushioned shoes generally have the softest midsoles and the least added stability. They’re built on a semicurved or curved last to encourage foot motion, which is helpful for runners who have rigid, immobile feet (underpronators). You should also buy these if you’re an efficient runner whose feet don't roll inwards excessively (overpronate) when you run.

EB: "Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?"
BA: "Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron." --

I gather Americans don't recognise irony either. Is Mikey an American perhaps?

Meanwhile MM I would like to point out that Southend AC have already cottoned on to the Lucy's idea of "useful" prizes. 3 years ago, I believe, Jackie Shanks won a handbag for finishing 2nd. A handbag, I ask you!! That year one of the male vets won suitcases! This year Julia Palmer won a set of glasses and her husband sells them and has a warehouse full.

I dread to think what prize I'll be getting for 3rd Vet plodder.

Mind you I need a new iron....
