Yep, I'll be there to run like a madman, be on track for a pb and then get cramp 1/2 a K before the finish line and 'jog' to the end in agony!

Sounds as if we're gonna have a good turnout again for this.
All the pre-entry numbers can be collected at the entry desk. Just turn up, give your name and they'll give you a number. Kind people they are....
Looks like the weather's going to be good too. No wind, not too hot.

Ooh Barking Park one of my favs. Its my pb course too.
Not as quick as yours. But hopefully will get a bit quicker with each race. Then i'm doing the last Friday after Barking as well. _________________ I'll put something interesting here when i've thought of something, in the meantime heres some music. |

Yep, I'm up for this too......
MM2 - 35 minutes??? should be no problem especially in your new vest, running with pride!!
Fast boys ( Stef & neighbour) - you'll need to get right up the front to start as it gets quite congested on the narrow paths!!
See you there

Mike - Give every race you do everything you have got, worked for me last year as I managed just about to get 3rd spot on the Merit table.
Pammie - Yep keep doing these short races as over time you will see your race times come tumbling down
I'm tempted to do this last Friday one aswell if I fail to get PBs at these two races i think
Neighbour - Thanks for the tip, i dont usually get right to the front as firstly i dont normally belong there with the fast boys plus i always go off too fast, so ill get right at the front tomorrow and get in Steffs way - lol |

i always try to be at the front and have often been in the 1st 2 or 3 getting away (except for bloomfield who goes off like a nutter) gets me right into a good position where i can settle down and watch as the faster runners come past without getting in the way but it takes a long time especially for many benfleet runners.
i have a background on the track and have done alot of national xcs where you have to get away quick or you have no chance. dont know if this is why i get away well ?
not saying everyone should do this and if your not carefull you can get carried away and go too quick but if you are capable of getting in the top 20 its a must. just think of the wasted energy getting around the slower runners etc
dont know which direction it goes but if its the path near the cricket pavilion (furthest form the track) it is the narrowest but there is grass toy can run on to the sides
good luck everyone running tomorrow im very jealous _________________ http://www.dtsm.co.uk |

Re: Barking Park.
A) Depends if we have friends staying for the weekend.
B) If we do, depends on when they are going
C) We have a party on Sat night with the dreaded Alcohol.
D) If 'C' happens, chances are i may get tipsy.
E) if 'D' happens, then I will get blitzed
If all of the above: Jez will hunt me down |

| MM2 you have my sympathies. That Jez is a hard task master aye. He told me off the other week, I was down in Swanage running the half marathon, only as a training run after spending the morning on me bike when I bumped into him Lucy & Paddy spectating. Thought I’d stop for a chat, see where they were staying, if they were enjoying the South coast, chew the fat a bit, maybe even suggest a post race beer…no chance, “Don’t you stop!!” A career as an army drill Sergeant beckons. He’s got the hair cut already. |
