| I was tempted to purchase, MM2, I really was. Especially when you said it was get one pair free. But it's buy three get one pair half price, so I guess I'll be passing it up. Stevie is now saving like crazy for my book so it would be impolite to invest in something else at this time. Thanks for the concern though. My plantar thingy me bob feels better just from the warmth radiating from the club membership. |

| Nice to hear from the club chairman. Did Clive mispell chairman or did he put CHARMAN because he's the club tea boy? 'Cup of Char, anybody?' |

7th July: 10:35 Today was a landmark day. Sod your one minute jog, MM2. For today I ran one mile without stopping......Twice! A goal achieved. (Paying the price now though as have badly sunburned nose.)
Note to self - Must remember sun block in future! Tonight I feasted on a celebratory dinner of Dominos Pizza, potato wedges and chicken dippers. Two Buds washed it all down. Magnum ice lolly to cool down my nose.
The Downs looked magnificent from the track. The cloud dapled sky casting light and dark shadows upon the varied foilage on the hills. The yatch masts wavering in the refreshing breeze. A sight only seen from Canvey, and one to enraputure any ultra runner as they perform the Canvey Loop!
I must leave now to apply a cold compress to my hooter! |

Just wondered.
Hehehe
Seriously though, I dont know what running history you have, but mines cr*p so cant really comment too much. Just words of encouragement. |

| A few words of encouragement for anyone who's been off from running for a while and thinking of coming back. Don't do it! So far i've spent ten pounds on ankle supports that are the wrong size and cutting off my circulation even though the man in the shop measured my ankle and still managed to give me the wrong size. Eighteen pounds fifty pence on some plantar fasciitis videos only to discover I don't have plantar fasciitis! (Whatever you do don't self diagnose!) And now I've got to spend twenty pounds on a shin splint cure book because tight wad Stevie D won't dip into his extra deep pockets and buy himself the book I need! And that's not to mention the new running shoes. And then people actually have the nerve to ask you what's taken you so long to start back running? |

Funny you should ask me that, stevie. (By the way what happened to the D as in Stevie D. You change your name more often than I change my underware. (That's nearly once every two weeks.)) I sent a grovely mail and got a refund on my plantar fasciitis videos which frees me and you up to pool our resources and buy this damn book. Now it's twenty quid and I figure we can go halfes. If you're over the track next Sat I can pick up your fifteen pounds then.
All the best, Stevie, Steve, D, etc. |

If I get it and you don't go halfes it'll be broken shins you'll be needing to worry about. It comes with a money back gaurantee which I can claim and give you back your two pounds fifty. lol. It also comes with a free flab to fab ad workout. (I figure you'll want this more than the shin splint cure.)
P.S. I've checked the price and it is $24.50. So at current exchange rates that £15 was about right. ( ) |

I would have thought Pat if you get the book you wont have broken shins so there shouldnt be any need for me to worry about your broken shins.
Stevie D is no more, time moves on and its just Stevie for this week
While I'm saving up hard for this book have a gander at this:
http://books.google.com/books?hl=...z2mKCBn6yv7qHEzGlp6jyCYcM#PPP1,M1
Plenty of online books to have a read through and me being as tight as I'am at the moment, its proberly better for you to do some light online reading while I save up the pennies |

Hi Pat. It was good to see you at the track on Saturday morning. Well done for getting down there and doing some running. Perhaps you could tell Karl Cadman how you do that!
I hope you'll get down the club soon on a club night. Oh, and thanks for your parting remarks of encouragement on leaving the track - I just caught the "not bad for an old git" bit.
Best wishes, Godfrey. |

| Thanks Godfrey, nice to see you running so well. I think I said when I was leaving, 'not bad, he's super fit!', not 'not bad for an old git!'. lol. Seriously, it's just jealousy, if I could run as well as you even at my age I would be running circles round Stevie D. (Better take the D off that.) It was nice to see you, Spokey. Now I'm wondering about this 'Spokey 42', and for the life of me I've got no idea where you came up with it? Give us a clue or you'll have me speculating! |

Thank you, Karl, it worked a treat!
I read an old post of MM1 suggesting we should use pictures of ourselves as our avatars. I've taken the hint, the question is which part of me is it?
Stevie, you told me that a while back you lost interrest in running because you were going at it too hard. Take it easy, mate, or you'll be feeling that way again. There's an old Irish saying that goes something like this. 'Run, run, run slowly this way. Live to run slowly this way another day'. Training is training, save the gut-busters for race day. Now that's sound advice from a bolted together cripple who quits after two nine minute miles. lol. |

| No, I meant your daughters, didn't realize you were wearing one. But now you mention it. So, you've no suggestions? Where to go in the LD? Where to stay? Where the best views are?.............Where do I get a hat like your one? etc. |

Pat,
The best view would be of you heading off to the LD. Hat? well, have you seen the film Saw3? I know its a neck thingy, but a hat of similar style would do.
(for those of you who havent seen the film, its a necklace with shotgun cartridges in it if he does wrong)
Anyhow, Pat. Get back to writing yer stuff.

| Hello, Mike 2. I've been feeling very tired the last few weeks, Mike 2. I'm not sure if it's the 9 minute miles taking their tole Saturday mornings or the restless nights due to the muggy weather, or both. So things are a bit slow. I've got a beginning, which you've had, an end, which we haven't reached yet, and absolutely nothing in between except a few ideas and dilemmas. You see I'm not sure how to make my Indians sound like Pirates. It's an authenticity thing you see. Sitting Bull just doesn't say things like. 'Blast me barnacles and blister me bum but you are a rum tribe.' Do you see what I mean? So I'm gonna take a little break, wait for my batteries to recharge, then take up art classes instead. |

Thought for the month;
Have PatM and MM1 eloped?
no postings from either?
Did they have a fight over some lost biscuits?
Or: Did Dessie give them a lost treasure map? |
