OK willing to look like an crazy fool but I don't understand Sad .

Does it mean that if the first brc runner through comes in at 30mins dead then I come in at 50mins dead then I have about 166% of the first time?

My maths is obviously not making much sense in this example but I think I need it explained at the 'crazy fool' level if someone is willing to oblige Cool ?

Cheers,

John.

Hi John

Didn’t get back earlier, as I wanted to show you a practical example

The table below shows the results for the first league race of the year
( Great Bentley ˝ Marathon )

Time C/Champs Surname First Name % Winner’s Race Pace

01:08:15 Male Winning Time 100.000%

01:18:07 M40 Desborough Steve 87.369%
01:18:27 M40 Mead Antony 86.998%
01:23:51 Cohen Steffan 81.395
01:32:05 M40 Turner Terry 74.118
01:34:18 M50 Walker Frith Andrew 72.375
01:34:56 Mickleburgh Trevor 71.893
01:36:05 M40 Moore Graeme 71.032
01:39:23 M50 Mather Godfrey 68.673
01:39:48 Watson Peter 68.387
01:44:40 M40 Skinner James 65.207
01:44:56 Baker Anthony 65.041
01:46:06 M40 Ashley Philip 64.326
01:55:50 M50 Norton Paul 58.921
01:59:03 Hoy Michael 57.329

01:20:10 Female Winning Time 100.000%

01:28:29 F45 Palmer Julia 90.601%
01:35:16 M40 Gibbons Deborah 84.150
01:35:22 M0 Garrard Sharon 84.062

Looking at the results

The winning male time was 1:08:15
Whilst Steve Desborough finished in 1:18:07 –
He was running at 87.37% of the pace of the winner so this is his league score

Likewise Julia Palmer’s pace was 90.60% of the winning lady, so this is her league score

Hope this helps explain how the scores are calculated

Mike

Thanks Mike. I get it now. That's really quite clever, I like it.

Steve you only had to put in another 13% more effort and you would have won! Wink

And if Julia trains 10% harder the clubs got a first class Half Marathon lady! Cool

Cheers,

John.

League News :

Individual race results now being posted on the forum

Slight change to format :

Will now be eligible for competition as long as you run at least 4 out of the 5 MT distances : 1/2M , 10 M , 10k , 5 M , and 5k

This is instead of having to run all 5 distances

Hopefully we will get a lot more runners in with a chance of the overall title this way.

Will still be best 8 results to count , max 2 from any distance

Good luck ..... Run Fast
