Karl,

Quick comment on the current homepage: it is looking better than ever. I particularly like the use of the photo that is the width of the masthead (where was that taken?) and the Seni-Extreme ‘post-it’ looks good and also works a treat.

I’m even getting used to your love of marquee text (the lines that ‘run’ from right to left for those that don’t know). Wink

At this rate I’ll have to dig down in the lesser seen corners of the website just to have something to complain about!

Cheers,

John

Thanks.

I cannot take credit for

1) The masthead picture. It was taken by a RunnersWorld photography at London this year, and cos he saw our banner (and found our web) he sent me a copy. fab eh ? I thought it would fit in well (with a bit of cut &pasting)

2) the Marque text (yes the one that goes from right to left) is only on there because club veteren/stalwart and all-round good egg Mickey requested it. The last time I took it off there were tears...

Although the Seni-post it note is all my own doing..once Gary has done his "little" run I will amend it to push the club duathlon, as I don't feel Mickey has done enough to bring it to everyone's attention.

Yes I agree the website just gets better and better Karl,

One comment though, wouldnt it be better to make better use of the space down both margins of the screen ?

Steve, you would agree. Especially now you have your own little 'shins' thread. lol. On a more serious note I hope the people who do their bit for the club are recognized presentation night or whenever. It must take a fair amount of time keeping this forum up to date and Karl is very conscientious in how he manages it. (Even if he did jettison me Island into cyberspace.) So for your time and commitment, Karl, we the unworthy applaud you. I think I did mention this before but he thought I was taking the piss. lol.

Sorry, I thought piss would have been bleeped out. lol.
P.S. Steve, I like the way you buttered Karl up first, then told him what was wrong with his forum. lol.

Pat, I know im not Karl, but to answer your question yes all online at the same time, the forum records and mantains this information, unless Karl montiors the forum activity himself all day Smile

Pat, no need to shout !

Steve is correct, the stats at the bottom of the main page don't lie (and are automated - I am far too busy to do that as well!):

Not sure what the "chat" was on that day. Something deep and meaningful I think, as I can't find any races on the Sunday before that warrant so much interest.

Thanks for feedback, techies. There I am complementing Karl for keeping the forum updated and it's all done automatically for him...Geez! One last question, Steve. How do you know you're not Karl? Has anyone ever told you you're not? How do you know for sure?
