might do it David, never done it before, always wanted to though.
At the moment just making a bit of a comeback getting up to about 6 miles at the moment so distance should be no problem.
At the very worse just use it as a training run in a different setting.
Did notice on Fetch that its on the same day as Essex PB _________________ I'll put something interesting here when i've thought of something, in the meantime heres some music. |

Did it last year, and just found out that I now cant make it on the 13th to do it again
Its a good course, but not really a PB course.
Its ashame this one and the Essex PB 5 fall on the same day.
I'd go for this one though as its off road |

Pammie you should do this one, dont go for a PB and just enjoy the race, there are plently of other shorter races to do during the year where you can beat your PB |

Pammie, I agree with Steve (though I'm a Bluebell virgin) that you might as well give it go. I'm going to do it simply 'cos it sounds nice.
Won't be able to pick up my number till Thursday though .
Cheers,

This is a lovely local race.
Starts, quite informally at the entrance to the Little Haven Woods. Quite rapid crowded start to the run down a very narrow edge-of-the-field and then sweeps round and into the woods proper.
Not too many chances to overtake once you are in the woods. Goes out further on into the open grassed area and then back thro the woods to the start, where you do another lap.
Oh, and don't forget your pen when you finish.

Has anyone visited RW forums today theres a thread for this race. Theres a question from someone asking what shoes she should wear will normal shoes (as in running shoues LOL) or will trail shoes be better. _________________ I'll put something interesting here when i've thought of something, in the meantime heres some music. |

The club was running on the downs last night
Grounds so hard at the moment normal running shoes should be fine
Could go for a trail oriented shoe, but nothing to aggressive !!

yes, tend to agree with Mikey - normal running shoes will be fine.
I wasn't going as fast as Mikeys group last night (obviously) but it was still rock hard in places, so unless we get loads of rain tween now and Sunday stick with your normal running shoes.
Also, Pammie - picture please as your avator (if you are not sure how to do it then email me a pic and I will organise it for you)
Always nice to see a pic..
And after all, we are a social, caring club. |

Mikey, Pammie and Karl
Up until recently, the word 'running' was not in my vocabulary. Now i find the word 'normal' appearing in the same sentence. Can you define 'normal' please?

Typical I big-up a race that I'm looking forward to and find that I'm double-booked .
As my daughter is getting her Chief Scout Bronze Award (quite a big thing apparently) that day I won't be able to make it this time. So in true Mike Mason fashion I have a spare number for this race should anyone care to give the Bluebell 5 a go?
Cheers,

Hows that Karl,

Sorry i'll not be at the Bluebell tomorrow, change of plan as it'll be much easier for me to get to the pb one, but the plans the same just a training run. _________________ I'll put something interesting here when i've thought of something, in the meantime heres some music. |

you traitor pammie ! though i can understand the transport issue.
nice looking pic though
thanks for the support on the course , its amazing what that benfleet vest can do. i think i was 2nd benfleet finnisher , though i thought i was in a race long battle with another benfleet runner only to find out he was from dagenham (similar vest). think i peeved him off when he looked like he was dying on a hill and i overtook him and tried to give him some encouragement ! he soon came beck round and went away from me .
think i was just inside the top 30 and beat my pb by nearly 6 minutes , 34:44 but my watch says it was 7.93 k .
bit of a downer , the mutch prized pen isnt as good as normal though it is made from recycled drinking cups. _________________ http://www.dtsm.co.uk |

Sorry about that David
not a bad run today 46:44 by my watch, bit of a mix up at the start, so don't know yet my official time, didn't see the finish clock too busy concentrating on breathing at that time. I know i can run a good 4-5 minutes faster in time.
Good show from you had to laugh at you with a dagenham runner _________________ I'll put something interesting here when i've thought of something, in the meantime heres some music. |
