Due to friends taking us away for a mystery weekend on the race dates (my wife has indicated that my saying no to the weekend was not worth my while) my place for this years Benfleet 15 is now up for grabs.

I had intended to beat last years 2hrs 04 and change. So instead of putting place up on ebay I am willing to give it away to the person who can do the run justice and write a short posting of why they should take the coveted Mason place.....

You will of course have to run the course in my manner ie, whingeing and moaning constantly about the weather, mud, inconsiderate runners getting in the way, evacuating copious fluids from nasal passages in ritual Farmers blow motions, cursing loudly and stringing profanities together in a strangely satisfying manner......

Bring on the potential takers.....

Anyone thinking of taking up this place better think long and hard about it !!

If you haven’t been able to commit to marshaling, but suddenly find yourself available to run the race, think your life will be made hell around the course.

If you have committed to marshaling, and decide to drop the rest of us in it ,by running instead..... Chances are you won't see the day out !!!

Just reminding everyone that Benfleet marshals hunt in packs, and their feeding frenzy has been known to make piranha’s feel a little queasy.
