That's the jist of it, but those who want to, normally run the route on the Saturday which gives you a nice warm glow of satisfaction when your freezing your wotsits off the day after!!

Count me in. I was thinking only the other day that I should volunteer for a bit of Benfleet 15 high-visibility-vest-ment.

It is pretty unlikely that I'll be running 15 miles at that point so the Saturday run won't be for me either Sad

.

Could someone (Lee?) put my name down as a Marshal (I'll probably look like Rooster Cogburn by then so I'd fit the part).

Theres usually a group that runs under 15 miles so there should be a good group that you can go around with

Wel do you well as my training isn't up to that standard i'll not be running though i have done it twice before (gulp!)

So if you need more marshalls or help at finish i can come.

I don't think i could manage 15 miles at the moment on the roads let alone onthe downs

In reply to JackLarge, there's plenty of opportunity to cut the Sat run short. It's reasonably well marshalled for drinks, dumping clothing etc so you can jump in someones car for a lift back at various intervals.

Had a long run around the Downs yesterday, the stretch between the castle and Leigh Station was it's usual thick muddy state. Should keep Stef happy come Sunday.

Just a quick plea to all peoples marshalling on Sunday-please smile and encourage runners to show what a great,friendly club Benfleet is. I'm sure we all know from experience that it makes a much better run when marshalls interact with the runners.
Lets show them that Benfleet rule!!!
