9th (3 sec behind 8th!), 13th and 18th for the men, 5th for the girls. Stef, you were 2nd fastest man in a Benfleet vest 16:26, Tony best with 16:02. Dessie was of course the slowest in 16:40, only justifying his place in the first team by 2 seconds, Andy Morris leading off the second male team in 16:42.
Full respect to Zizou for running injured to allow the third team to compete. Probably had his spikes nicked after too....
Well done boys & girls proud of ya. |

i justified my selection in the first team just,
But only 2 encourage the B team how close they are to first team selection & putting in that extra bit of training will make all the difference.
well done guys
Shame on the guys who could not make it, there were only a few but they know who they are
Sorry only one |

Thanks Graham. Very well done guys all three teams were really excellent. Us ladies were very proud of finishing 5th and thanks a million to my team mates who were outstanding. I know I was the weak link running on tired legs from my 15 miler Saturday but even though Charlotte had a blinder and moved us up to 4th by overtaking the Chelmsford B team lady just on the change over her replacement shot straight past me before the 1st gate! I was quite proud of hanging onto 5th place after that.
Awesome finish Caroline holding off that Chelmsford lady!
WELL DONE EVERYONE ! |

I'm sorry Captain. I've cancelled my boys birthday for next year so will be able to grace the XC relay with my presence.
You know I was only pulling your leg. Your commitment as Club Captain just inspires me. If you fancy a beer this week to discuss our race tactics for the club's 15 drop me a line. It'll be great to line up next to you at the start come Sunday, you always seem to bring out the best in me. |
