I'm now in along with Tony. I entered online through Runner's World. Entries are apparently up to 350 with the limit at 500.
Anyone else entered this? |

| Mike - the race is 10 miles. Perhaps another dose of cortisone or similar may be in order! Hopefully you can come alive as usual over the last 800m. |

well done to everyone that ran today, a good turnout by the Benfleet squad again with some 20-25 runners out i think.
some fantastic times and PB's from what I heard. The ones i know of are Nick Rankin did a PB by 3 minutes, I did one by 3mins 40, Tanya Parker got a 6min PB, Chris Williams PB, Susanne Barton PB. The fast boys once again did well with Jez, Graham, Nick, Kieron, Tony and Stef all running well. Lucy was our first lady home i think.
A good PB course, even with that nasty hill at 7 to 7.5 miles!! well done to all. |

PB for me as well, almost 2 mins better than Tiptree by my watch.
The farm track section around mile 7-8 was very hard, uphill & windy and I lost about 30 secs here and thought I has blown a PB. Fortunately, the last couple of miles were downhill. _________________ Whad'ya mean "Run fat boy, run"? I AM running! |

I enjoyed the race even though a bit hilly, but if I knew the bacon butties were that good, might have done it a bit quicker !!!
Well run to you all and thanks for the support from Brian & peter, oh and the Everton fan (who were luck in beating WHU today) |

Certainly a tough race, and although there were no hills the size of Vicarage Hill to speak of, there seemed to be a load of nasty little inclines throughout.
First of all, congratulations to Jez who had a stunning race to claim 4th place and into the 57s, and also Nick Rankin who ran another outstanding race to clock a time in the 1:02's. Nick showed his training form and grew stronger as the race progressed to its latter stages.
PJW, Tanya, Chris, and Susanne can also be proud after their PB efforts on what was not the easiest course by a long stretch. It was good to see so many team members packing the placings (although not so welcome to see them all so close behind at the U-Turn section!). |

The official results are up. It looks like our team have earned a Men's silver!
Springfield are first with 1st, 3rd and 12th.
Billericay Striders have 35 points (6th, 10th, and 19th). This is identical to us - but with Jez's 4th place surely Benfleet would have the edge!
Superb result! |

| Jez must be pleased after running a superbly quick pb leaving me eating his dust from about 4 miles but just missed the podium. 4th getting to be a bit of habit lately aye. Look on the bright side buddy - you'll be in MV40 category next year and you would have cleaned up! Ho ho ho. |
