Did a pre-Moonlight training run in Hockley Woods with MM last. (Yes I know I missed the club night, which is punishable by public stoning) but I must say it was enlightening. (and not for the fact of the dogging going on in the carpark)

I test-ran my new head-torch and must say as a run in the pitch black, thro' Hockley Woods it is worth doing on a regular basis.

Might start doing a regular monthly run, if peeps are interested in having a go and want to join in.

Really does focus the mind, and your eyeballs !

I hope you and MM weren't actively parcipitating in the dogging...... Eurgh...

I have been doing occasion night runs over the downs, but often I can see just aswell without the headtorch. So yes, I'll be up for some dark runs through the woods.

Will I need a camera for the 'wildlife'?

Mark, if Ernie joins us don't eat before training. He tends to wander off and attempt to spear Badgers/rats/dogs/foxes - anything he can see. And as you know as a manly Australian he does not use a headtorch - merely lights the hairs on his arms - it's truly awesome to behold......

I did expect Ernie to turn up on the Roadkill Chef last night

But when I watched them cook their foragings in a kitchen, I knew Ernie wouldn't be there. Only open fires for our Antipodean....
