Next Session – Tuesday 19th February

After our session on the track last week, we revert back to Appleton School 6pm as normal.

We hope to make the track session a monthly event in the future.

Brands Hatch 1 mile run 9th February

2nd March - Greenwich Meridian 2K Fun Run - Greenwich Park, Blackheath, London, SE10 8QY

30th March - Joe Cartwright Fun Run 1.5 miles - Eldon Way, Paddock Wood.

+ 20th April Nicola’s 5 – Local Race - Canvey Infant School, Long Road, Canvey.

Infant and Junior Sprints on the school field, start 9:45am. 100m and 60m.

Jackets

We have found a supplier of jackets suitable for the children, similar to the adult version.

We will post a list for anyone who is interested in purchasing one.

Approximate price will be in the region of £ 12.

Sport Relief Weekend 14th-16th March

Saturday 15th March – we will be organizing a 1 mile run with children and parents.

More details soon, but please ensure you have purchased your Comic Relief socks from Sainsbury’s in good time !

We will be running a £ 2.00 lottery Sport Relief poster.

If you want to join in and pick a celebrity, please bring your money along to the session.

Half the money raised will go to the winner, and half to Comic Relief.

Norwich Union: Shine Awards

The recent timed sprints from track session, and standing long-jumps have been added to the system and points totals for individual members will be published soon. (everyone was deemed to have cleared 1m for the long jump, to get everyone started - now it is up to you to improve !)

We will endeavor to do one “points-worthy” activity every week to enable everyone to start accumulating points.

Stickers are awarded after you have competed in 5 different events, and medals are awarded once points start to tally towards the qualifying figures !
