Decided to bite the bullet and do this as our first trail race. I'll give the 16 mile route a go and Claire is going to run 11.

Really enjoyed this today, thanks to Andy F for showing me the ropes on my first attempt at a trail race.
It was muddy and slippy in places but the scariest obstacle was definitely the big horse that got quite upset when we crossed it's field, that's the quickest effort I've done for a while!

Well done to both you and Claire on your first trail run, that was a bit of a baptism of fire today. Both in distance and conditions.
If you enjoyed that, I can guarantee you will enjoy the, Shorter, dryer, warmer runs coming in the next few weeks/months.
The added bonus is that most start and finish at a pub 
It will be intersting to see the results when they are available.
As for the bloody Horse, that was my second near miss with wildlife in 2 days. A little too close for comfort today. Probably one of our quicker miles though.
