The River Run 14th Oct 2007Met Ernie, Adam, and Godfery in Hockley Woods at 7am
This is a really great 25 mile course, ideal for pre-Christmas (London) Marathon training.
| Quote: | | from Canewdon we go down to River Crouch and we go along the Crouch to just about Wallasea Island and then we go to Pagelsham Churchend and then onto River Roach at Pagelsham Eastend ;from there we make our way up up the Roach and coming out Rochford Town Centre and from there back to Hockley utilising the Roach Valley Way and Country Park, back to via Rochford shops to Hockley Woods. |
We are planning another one in-between Christmas, and New Year. I will post details in the diary once we have sorted out a date.
My hip exploded in pain (yesterday's physio stretched me out of shape!) so "only" did the 20 miles.
Yong Adam did the full 25 miles the furthest he had run to date.
Well done ! A star in the making. It would have been nice if he was actually out of breath and tired by the end ! Youngsters today!

Adam trained bloody hard this week too. He ran the ball breaker with me on Tue and was setting a fair pace on Thursday night. Good on you!

I'd have to say I was impressed.
To see Adam charging up that last hill coming into Car Park after 25 miles beggars belief.
I used to think Ultra Runners learn their craft through years of suffering and deprivation...... now I'm confused
