I must have been covering up well as I got bad cramp in my thigh at twelve miles and just had to hold on to finish the race! That was tough going coming back from Leigh station with the relentless head-on wind!!! Thankyou to all our marshals, organizers and all involved with putting on the event! You're all stars. Best cup of tea ever at the kitchen area, thanks loads girls!

Well done to everyone especially Graham who ran even though he felt awful - true Benfleet spirit!
Well done also to all the marshals. I had really good feedback after the race - being so cheerful really kept many runners going. Both male and female winners had praise for the marshals so I reckon Benfleet marshals are the best in the business!!! WELL DONE ALL ! As usual watch out for a nice spread in the Echo this week with photos and full results from Terry who is working late into the night as I speak. |

Marshalls were as ever superb. Thanks for all the support out there. And the lovely laydeez working their magic in the kitchen. Angels the lot of them.
I wasn't that bad. Jez would have still beat me if I'd felt better

Just goes to show that the team performs even better when i'm absent.
Too many heroes for my liking, the runners, marshals kitchen people & admin all doing their best. I got to find an angle for Tuesday

sorry, still in marshall mode. Well done for getting the results out super quick Terry. (quicker than Sarfend letting in three goals, that was) And, they were nearly right first time. Well Done mate, especially as it was a record entry. |
