shops in Leigh

Went to see the physio today about the ankle.
Positives its not what you call an injury more biomechanical stuff. I have always been lead to believe i'm a neutral runner.
I always knew i was a heel striker - Bad Pammie. but i slightly over pronate particularly on the right foot.
She suggested getting my shoes elsewhere, gave me the names of some places including one in Leigh. She didn't remember the name. Does anyone know?

I've got some gel inserts to try if it don't work i have to see the pod man

Hi Pammie
The guys at Original sports are pretty helpful, they also do Gait Analysis there. A bit pricey though. Still the Gait Analysis is free so you could see what shoes they recommend and then shop around.

Howdy

THanks a lot Andy i went to visit Original Sports in Leigh, nearer to chalkwell (station) but anyhow you didn't warn me that its mainly uphill from the station to the shop. But i'll forgive you this once Wink

I saw the guy in there very helpful and was quite interesting watching how i run on the video afterwards i do over pronate a bit on the right foot but its not that great, anyway whos perfect!! no need to answer that.
I've come to the conclusion along with what my physio said and what the guy said that its the Mizunos that are the problem.
He explained a lot to me and left the shop happy and positive, and i didn't buy anything but i will be back and i'll bring some mountain gear drunken

Also yesterday went for my first run in 12 days pain was nagging me a little. Went to the gym as well today warm up on the bike 20 minutes, 20 minute row 20 min run on the dreadmill (1 min run 1 min walk.) foot ankle a whole lot better no aches no pain except the 8th rep though that was at 9km /hour a bit too fast too soon.

I'm uncertain about Horndon still will see how things go, but optimistic about the next Hyde Park 5km
