Self Transcendence 5kAfter hearing from Mr McGill that Battersea Park was a good PB course I entered the 5k on Monday evening. I went out a bit too hard and suffered through the 2nd half but managed to knock 22 seconds off my 5k PB, 17:20. Running 800m last week maybe wasn't the best prep for a 5k so I'll blame the over eager start to that!
The field was much stronger than I estimated based on previous results so got to be happy with 16th. I would recommend anyone to target one of these Battersea Park races if they are looking for some good times.

This road racing is tough, back to the track for me with a 1500m next week!

Top running Mike. Every time I or anyone else improves, you stretch away just that little bit more. A very fast moving target, if you will!
Doing Little Havens 5k? I will be doing this.

Unfortunatly not as i'm away. I've got a 1500m next Wed, then a 10k in Ireland on 15th and Barking 5k on 31st so it doesn't look like our paths will cross until x-country, I am still chasing your 10k time mate!
