Just to let you all know I intend to make nominations for Benfleet RC with Runners World. But then you'd all have probably guessed that!!

I don't think this operates on the basis of the number of nominations so I'll do a nomination on behalf of the club as a whole in any appropriate category/ies.

An update on this - I will be nominating Benfleet in the UK's Best Running Club category (which is on the basis of completing a questionnaire about the club and any additional info in support). I propose to do this after the presentation night because of one of the questions which relates to 'a club activity in the last month' and I will still be within the deadline of 6 March.

I also propose to nominate in 2 of the Heroes of Running categories - Mentor and the Jane Tomlinson Inspirational award. I am having problems with the RW link at present so I've emailed them to find out if I can nominate that way instead.

I'll keep you posted on this.

You mean the email links don't work then? Mine just says "cannot open". If it's just an email link then presumably I can just use the editor at Runners world address as you've put and head it for the appropriate category and that'll be good enough?

Wasn't sure if it was just the editor address I had to send it to or if there were special addresses for each category as I couldn't open the email link to see!
I emailed that editor address to ask - no reply though. Didn't want it getting lost and thrown away!

Okay I sent the final nomination today - UK's Best Running Club.

There was no word limit on this entry just a questionnaire to complete so I've gone to town with how wonderful we are! Fingers crossed everyone - the club entries for this award will all be assessed by a panel of judges at the end of March with the final result to be announced at a ceremony in April. This award is not just about competitive achievements it's about an all round excellence such as encouraging new members, juniors, charity fund raising for the local community, commitment to race organisation as well as success in races. I think we have it all so hopefully I've presented a good case and haven't bored the judges senseless!!
