Graham

really really fed up

After five days of hard trail running on treacherous ground I was navigating the stairs this morning when I was ambushed by a small childs coat. Badly rolled my ankle, spent the afternoon in A&E - nothing broke but a fair amount of damage. That'll be the spring marathons out the window then. Two expensive half iron men races in a few weeks are prob going to be a struggle as well. All supposed to be building for that triple marathon in Aug. Grrrrrr. Seriously f******g f*****d off. Kids learnt some new and educational words and phrases too.

Swelling up nicely so I took a photo. See you all in a few weeks.

Bloody hell Graham that's worse than my ankles get sitting at my desk for hours working on the Yearbook!!  I'm gutted for you mate - wishing you a speedy recovery.

Mind you I did reap the rewards of your absence last night as our fine team of Pete Watson, myself and Charlotte finished 2nd in G B & U and with a few more metres at the pace Pete was running at the end we'd have taken 1st! Having been beaten into 2nd before by your team I wasn't sorry to see you weren't there.

Feel guilty now I know why.  Take care rest up and get that foot better.  compress

Mate, I am really gutted about that... was hoping we would push each other to some pbs.Heres wishing you a speedy recovery and hope your back ASAP.. Need someone to chase out the water in Wimbleball too!!!
bobby

Angry ankle

Poor Graham, that does not look good. Hope you soon recover.  Start taking arnica tablets as soon as possible. One every four hours four times then every three hours for two days.  Hope it helps.  I'm hoping to cheer you on at Wimblewhatever it is, so lets hope you are not off for long.
Graham

Thanks all. Not feeling quite so glum today. Just gutted that I was running so well and haven't had a good go at a road marathon for a couple of years, really thought I had a chance of getting close to 2:45 in a weeks time.

Never mind, might even dust me golf clubs off for a few weeks, rent a buggy and away I go.

Bobby - still hoping to limp round Beaulie in 6 weeks and do the same at Wimbleball, just to get my money's worth! Jez, dont think you'll take long to catch me. What with recent tapering and recovery weeks, spot of man flu and my thumb keeping me out the saddle and the pool (dont mention the Rayleigh aquathlon - any slower and I'd have sunk) and now this I haven't swam/cylce trained for about a month and counting. It's all about the 2010 season now...hope you're up for rematch buddy!

Oh - anyone interested in Abingdon in Oct? compress
Pammie

Graham hope you are back running soon, as i'm sure you are too.
