Congratulations ladies! Ladies were 2nd again today (team - Charlotte 7th, Jacqui 8th, Catherine 15th & me 27th).
Benfleet ladies were 2nd overall in the Final standings yippee!! 1st ladies team was Colchester and Tendring.
We had 3 ladies in the top 10 overall standings (based on position in 4 out of 5 races) - Jacqui 5th, Charlotte 7th and Catherine 8th - the only club with 3 in the top 10
Awesome girls - thanks for making me feel part of the team even if I was only making up the numbers!
I'm off to ice my twisted ankle now!
Well done guys today too you all put in fine performances, sorry you didn't have a full team.

At the risk of boring you all senseless again about our ladies I would just like to say as Graham pointed out this is our 1st time in the Essex Cross Country League and the achievement of our ladies really cannot be underestimated - we were up against the top AC's and our ladies beat all but one of them! And 3 of our ladies are in the top 10 in Essex!!
And Ian made a good point too - we are a team, we're there for each other although Catherine and Charlotte scored at all 5 races and Jacqui scored in 4, we needed the others too - Lucy scored in 3, me in 2 and Sharon in one and Louisa ran in 3 and was just a couple of places behind me in 2 and had everyone bellowing at her to give the last race her all because I'd turned on my ankle - including me!! And she was barking like a dog with a horrendous cough!
And I did 2 races even though I hate x country!!
Please guys - we have some real talent amongst the men in the club do come along and run next year Matt and Graham did every race think Andy Ken might have too Dave Thomson did most of them but it was sad to see only 5 yesterday - one short of a team. It'd be great to see a full mens team at every race next year
WELL DONE TO ALL THE BENFLEET MEN WOMEN AND JUNIORS WHO COMPETED THIS YEAR

All those who competed in the 1st race of the series - go and buy the Echo today. I have managed to get the Echo to print the photo my friend (who was spending his vacation from America watching me run - the poor man!) took so there is a great pic of all the men and women who raced in the 1st event
Nice piece on the ladies too and all overall positions for Benfleet in the Junior Age Groups too.
All men who competed in the last race are mentioned in the Results section.
So go BUY !!
