Prayers for Dylan- Dylan has died

Dylan the rabbit albino (see left) is very poorly with either an inner ear infection or a brain problem (abcess/tumour/protozoa infection) and is stumbling around behaving like a very drunk bunny.

He needs lots of good vibes and prayers to help him get better as the prognosis isnt great at the moment. This will enable him to return to being the household thug and to return to his more usual habits of eating all Jez's favourite plants in the garden, jumpint through the cat-flap, spreading his hay everywhere, terrorising the cat and weeing in inappropriate places.

My thoughts are with Dylan. Ear infections are very serious in bunnies, poor little bugger. Although not as serious as younger brothers tasked with looking after bunnies and then leave them out overnight for the neighbourhood foxes to enjoy. I was still picking up icky little bits of rabbit two weeks later.

I'm thinking of Dylan too. Hope he's back to his old self soon.

Dylan, Get well soon.

My experience of rabbits was looking after 2 female rabbits for my son while on a school trip. Unfortunately one died. It was ginger black and white in colour. I had hell of a job matching it up before he came home. The only problem being was that the new one was male. How was I to know. Weeks later and many bunnies, I had to tell the poor boy the truth.

True story.

During the war, my mum remembers a specific time when my uncle came home on leave

Not only did she received a nice pair of warm gloves, but the whole family was treated to a slap up meal to supplement the rationing !!

Need I say more !!

( Also a true story )

PS .... Don't mess with my mum

PPS ... Hoping Dylan get's well sone
Stu

Run, Dylan, run, Dylan, run, run, run
Don't give Mike his fun, fun,fun
He'll get by without his rabbit pie
So run, rabbit, run, rabbit, run, run, run

Get well soon

For what we are about to receive, may the Lord make us truly thankfull, Amen.

Get well Bunnykins!

MM1: Well up to your usual standard, glad to see you back on form.

MM2: Honesty is the best policy (see MM1).

Lucycat: You could try giving him pot rather than the plants (always seemed to work for the original Dylan).

Dylan: Stay away from the light and when you're better don't nibble the red wires.

Cheers,

John.

"I am a gorgeous bunny and I am not ever ever to be mentioned in the same paragraph as pie otherwise Ill send my girlfriend Silky around to chew your computer modem repeatedly"

Hi Lucy

Until I saw your latest post ….. I wasn’t entirely sure if Dylan actually was a rabbit

I always had my money on him being a floppy armed alien !!

Can see he’s definatly 100% bunny now … and slightly intimidating

No wonder Jez lets him eat his plants

Hope Dylan is on the mend, and forgives any culinary foe-pars

Please don’t send the warren round

Mikey

Whats the latest on Dylan then?

Has he eaten his way out of the cage?
Dug his way under next doors fence?
Chewed Jez's slippers?
Chased the cat?
or:

well, is it any better?
Lucycat

Dylan died tonight at about 6.30. After spending sometime with him in the vet's garden area and a long chat to the vet I had him put to sleep.

He couldnt walk or hop although like a true Mancer retained his appetite to the end and took solice in a ginger biscuit I had taken him from work.

I stayed with him when he died cradling his head and massive bunny ears. Very sad.

Jaq and Stu have been stars and as we are moving he is buried in their lovely garden soon to be under one of Jezs favourite red hot poker plants (Also Dylan's favourite too as he ate our version to the roots, as he did with many plants).

He was a very special and very big rabbit.
