Fordingbridge 10K: Sun 06/05/07While camping in the wonderful New Forest over the Bank Holiday I spied a few runners with numbers on their chests in the Fordingbridge car park. After enquiring when the race was due to start I found I had 30 minutes to get back to the campsite and get some kit on, find the Firestation and write out my entry form. Luckily they started a bit late due to the long line for the Ladies .
I can firmly recommend last minute (literally) race entries for improving your holiday! It was a lovely rolling route and I even past two Mazaratis so I must have been flying.
Although I haven't seen the official results yet the watch said around 45 minutes (so it might be a PB and then again it might not). Not bad considering I had planned an easy 5 miles for that day.
Cheers,
John.

your all mad in this club just showing up for races at short notice , at least you dont have to deal with nerves though i guess.
but john do you always need to find a firestation when entering on the day ?

David,
Finding the Firestation is always a good bet (you never know when you might spontaneously combust in the last 100 meters).
Karl: Found the official results on the Fordingbridge Firestation website. I didn't PB but if you could put the result on the BRC results page I would be appreciative (I'm in position 47).

I'll second that Leo. Buggered if I'm taking my kit to the San Juan and the Caribbean.
