Milk - The Ideal Rehydration Drink?

An article in the Daily Mail said in a Loughborough University's test that Milk was better for rehydration than plain water or Poweraid.

Does anybody drink milk after training, I would think even semi-skimmed milk has quite a few calories so it may better to stick to squash?

So, I guess Stella Artois is NOT what I should use?

However, after the Dark Lane 10K one year I made for the reception area where a lady was selling home made cakes. I had lemon curd cake, a slab of carrot cake and a piece of Victoria sponge. Didn't help much with my recovery but boy did they taste good.

the nutrimilk stuff is pretty lame going by the label the levels of protein and carbs compared to rego is pretty much non existant. and it just tatses like a sweet chocolate milk , nice but probably not the best thing.
probably the carot cake etc would be just as good
