London BUPA 10K

Hi

Would anyone like to take part in the London BUPA 10K on Monday 25 May on behalf of children's charity, Children Today, who provide life changing equipment for disabled children. If so, please contact Ceri, ceri@childrentoday.org.uk.

Thanks
Karl C

I was wondering if you could help me?  I work for Rett Syndrome Association UK and we have 40 places available for the London 10k on Sunday 12th July that we are desperate to fill.

Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects mostly females.  It varies in severity, most people with Rett syndrome are profoundly and multiply disabled and totally dependant on others for the rest of their lives.  We are a small, national charity who provides support, help and advice to those who have been touched by Rett syndrome.  We promote and fund research into therapeutic treatment as well as towards an eventual cure.

Our work is vital to Rett people and their families so to help us raise much needed funds we are looking for people to take up the challenge at London.  The registration fee we are asking for is only £20 with a suggested minimum donation of £200.  I have attached a registration form and sponsorship form to be passed onto your members.  If you can ask your group if they can support us I would be so grateful, whether they have one of our places or are already registered.

If you need to talk to me about London 10k, our charity or other ways to support us please call me on 07971 050869 or email me.

Kind regards

'Hoping for a good run tomorrow' but not optimistic as I have spent all Sunday on the lash as the Famous Glasgow Rangers secured a 52nd Scottish league title.

Had a great prep on Saturday at the Waterside track but I fear I may have undone all the good.

Good luck to Cynthia and Dawn who are also running and they put a lot of effort in to the Saturday training session.

Hi guys, this is me, I applied ages ago when I wasn't running for Benfleet but wore my colours proudly today. My last (and only other) 10k race was 9 months ago with a 42:45 so almost 5 mins off my PB. A great race, a bit windy and wet at the end but other than that it was a nice flat course with good support.

Well done Mike - excellent PB. Now you just have to chase Keiron's time at Hatfield... :blackeye:

Hmm, yes I saw Keiron's time. I'm not sure if time's on courses that have a net downhill should count! just kidding, it's a great time and no great suprise as he's been running strongly lately. Looking forward to our next duel!

Couple of the ladies missed off the above list and were running for charity:

Cynthia Thomas  1:00:36
Dawn Wilkinson   1:07:24

Well done ladies, both P.B's
