Les Trailers de Paris March 2010Les Trailers de Paris invite you to discover cross-country running in the Ile de France. For this they would like to give the greatest number the possibility of taking part in the Eco-Trail de Paris Ile de France® whatever their performance level. On the programme: 3 distinct events.
20th and 21st March 2010
Le Trail de Paris Ile de France is the first cross-country race for Paris and its surrounding suburbs giving value to the natural and cultural surroundings of the Region.
For many, the perspective of a Trail in Paris and its surrounding suburbs sounds impossible.
However....
The project for the Eco-Trail de Paris Ile de France® is the fruit of the desire of a few mad members of the Trailers de Paris: to offer real cross-country races, a "home" race, really close to Paris. For this, what is more natural than to try to map out a course taking in the many woods, forests, parks, places of their daily training, so giving value to an often unknown cultural heritage?
On Saturday 20th March 2010, Les Trailers de Paris invite you to the third running of what they want to be a great Trail celebration. They are proposing, after 80km discovering paths in the Ile de France region that you rally together on the Finishing Line, situated...on the first level of the Eiffel Tower!!!
Encouraged by the success of the 80km event and taking account of the demand for a shorter Trail at the start of the season, the organisation has decided to set up a new Trail with a distance of 50km for the first time on Saturday 20th March 2010.
Maintaining the same approach, 90% of it will be made up of paths and will for the most part follow the paths of the West Parisian forests.
With a Start from the imposing Château de Versailles, this Trail will give you the possibility of discovering or rediscovering an incredibly rich cultural heritage.
On the 50km Versailles to Paris event, the Finish will be judged at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
The 18km Twin Santé, (The Trail for two) a non-timed event open to everyone, free speed, with a distance of 18 km proposed starting from the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, inviting the participants to get to the Eiffel Tower, with a Finish on the Port Suffren, greeted by Les Vedettes de Paris.
