InspirationOn
sunday Kirste ran the New York marathon. She reckons she had a mare of a run. However,if any of you are ever looking for inspiration, motivation or just plain courage, look no further. Once again, well done Kirste and congratulations. Paula better watch herself for the London next year. Brian & Bobby.

As you all probably now know it turns out Kirste had a pretty good excuse for what she considered a poor run. Her cancer is back, a small nodule in her lungs and she begins her second lot of chemo today. As positive and determined as ever, she's gearing herself up to train for London whilst undergoing treatment - there was me ready to start moaning about running a cross country tomorrow with a bit of a cold. Damn her eyes! Anyway I picked up this article from her a couple of days ago, it's from a recent Sunday Express supplement. As us mortals struggle for scraps in the Echo her celeb status grows.
She didn't ask me to post it but I thought I'd share it with everyone. Inspirational indeed.

Aw thank you! I am feeling really positive. I started chemo on Friday. Ran two miles that night and four miles on Sunday - slow but did it.
I am so chuffed by the support that you give me.
I promise to be down the club soon xx
