John, ran this great race for over 6 years, and only didn't run last year was the weather!! Great route, out along Southsea front, then inland (bit cramped) then thro shipyard, past Victory, etc. Then back along seafront, inland for a bit then 2 miles straight flat along seafront, Flatish course, and if wind not in your face on way home should be a pb course. Have fun. Park on the common, but either get off straight after you finish, or have chips and wait for the crowds to go.
