Foam RollersAnyone do it?
This sort of thing ...http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QJLxruO3su0 ... if you don't know what I'm on about.
Is it helpful in general or just for specific injuries?
If you do, how often?

I was introduced to the benefits of Foam Rollers by Mike Mason.
I use a Foam Roller often to loosen my Calves & Quads although for sure I'm not using it to its full potential.
I have in the past been a sufferer of Plantar Fasciitis and it thanks to using a Foam Roller freeing up Muscle Spasms in my Calves which was the underlying cause of my problem that I suffer no more (hopefully).

Yeah I was thinking it could be good for my calves and maybe relieving my shin pain.
Is it the sort of thing you do after a run while stretching?
I think I'm gonna invest in one.

I was introduced to them by Gemma at Benfleet physio to help in my recovery from ITB. I use daily on calves, hams, quads, glutes and piriformis.
You can get similar benefits from rolling on a tennis ball and this is better for one's butt....especially one as pert as mine. But the roller is excellent. Look for one that has a solid inner core..they start to deform after a while.
