EVAC Cross Country Championships, Sunday 18th OctoberEVAC Cross Country Championships, Sunday 18th October
Unfortunately we had to cancel our race in February because of the snow.
Arrangements have now been made to hold the 2009 Championships within the
Ampthill Trophy meeting and you can find full details at
www.ampthilltrophy.org.uk/
The race is 8Km is Ampthill Park and starts at 11 am. It is a 2 lap course
over hilly parkland (the Greensand Ridgeway passes through the park. There
is also a junior race at 10 am for U11, U13, U15 and U17 so your
children/grandchildren can also race! Registration is at Parkside Hall,
Woburn Street, Ampthill.
To enter the open race:
You can do this by post on their entry form or via the Runner World online
system. Please include your EVAC membership number, (old prints of the form
do not have this box, please write it across the top of the form). Cost £6
(£9 on day of race, if space), advance entry for over 60's is £1. The entry
form and links are on the trophy website.
For the EVAC Championship:
There is no additional entry fee this year. You will need to enter the race
as above and then register at the EVAC table on the day (in good time).
Make sure you have your EVAC membership number handy. Alternatively, you
can let me know, no later than Friday 16th October, by email; giving your
full name, club, age group and EVAC club membership number; to
robert.lands@ntlworld.com
Prizes:
Individuals First three overall and up to First three places in each 5 year
age range (depending on numbers entering),. Teams men and women no age
categories, 3 to score, team result based on aggregate time of the three
runners.
Older members:
M70 and W65 may opt to run only 1 lap of the course, our results will be
based on position at the start of the second lap. You may still complete
the full distance of the open race if you want to.
