The race is due to start at Hamilton Lodge, Great Bromley.

From the (A12) take the A120 towards Colchester. From the A120 take the A133 turn off which will take you under/over the A120. Looking at multimap I think you need to take the first right turn which will take you through Hare Green. Take the next turning on your right (should be the B1029). This will take you over/under the A120 again. Apparently Hamilton Lodge should be on your left.

Karl, you say Hamilton Lodge will be on my left? What if I am facing in another direction? It would be more useful to give a good description of Hamilton so we are all clear.....tall, dark hair, scar, parrot on shoulder etc
