Karl, recommend you keep this beast and use bike for cross- training. If you want to borrow Sally Edwards book 'The heart rate monitor book for cyclists' let me know. The turbo sessions here are not boring just ........painful!

Karl/MM,
To add some excitement to the turbo-training at home you could always start at the top of the landing and pretend to 'downhill'. Ask the family to gently push you towards the stairs every now and then for added 'thrill' factor.
Cheers,
John.

I think you should add a little more Ernest in your sign-offs too.

"Jack" even better idea though, going back up the stairs on it. That's and effort session I can tell you, beats Essex Way any day !!

it has come to my attention that many people are not using their own photos in their avatars. Do they not feel comfortable with their inner selves and how God made them?
if only I had my passport photo from when I was much younger...this one doesn't do me the justice I deserve.
ps re the turbo trainer - Karl can poke it where the sun don't shine.....I just remembered my missing biscuits...his leering grin and the trail of crumbs everywhere......
