CLUB TOP TEN MARATHON TIMES 2008CLUB TOP TEN MARATHON TIMES 2008
In the knowledge that I will annoy someone, I have collated all the marathon times for 2008 (so far) and put them in time order to present the fastest marathon times in the club this year.
(a few of us going to Hasting next month may make a dent into this list..)

Grrrrr.....I'm really really annoyed.
Had I known you would be compiling a list of marathon times, I would have hauled my sorry backside a bit quicker over the last few miles of my last marathon......
If anyone tries to tempt me to do a marathon in 2009, they will be met with a firm but polite....NO !
Ah what the hell, I'll probably do one....

You seem to have missed a couple of times from Edinburgh(me and Kirsty). Not that it will make any difference to the top ten but I would like to show some progress from two abysmal runs at London, and Halstead in the blazing sun. I think I will be lucky to make a dent in the 4h:30 section of the table but thats's my aim for Hatings.

I might have an idea worth exploring.
If the aim is to encourage the runners to improve their times why not promote the bottom ten and humiliate them on running club evenings.( I am aware that I am also in the bottom ten) as this might improve the overall average of the club. Most beginners live the dream of running a marathon but as we now know- any idiot can run a marathon...
At worst it will reduce the time walking for many of us and at best Lee Olney might finish the next one under 5 hours!
