What a lovely little race and so many Benfleet runners.
I have to say the support was superb, loads of "Come on Benfleet" shouts and the atmosphere was lovely.
As I said to a couple of people, I really wasn't in the mood for this, felt fatigued even before starting, stupid thing is that I entered on the day !
Still, decent enough run, glad i did it, most enjoyable and the essex wildlife trust benefit so all good.

I understand Charlotte was 1st lady and Vanessa 2nd - well done ladies. Anyone have any other results?

I would second JBD's comments about the support - it was great to hear the encouraging words by those gathered in the clearing halfway round the lap - and also from Brian and co on the last corner/end of the first lap. Even some of the Benfleet athletes coming in the opposite direction (in a short section in the woods) got in on the act!
Well done to all those who supported and ran, and pleasing to see the female prize winners.

BluebellI'll second the thanks for the support on Sunday. Somebody said that I was still smiling towards the end. I think it wasmore like a grimace. Well done Charlotte and Vanessa. Congratulations also to those who did Halstead. Looks like there were some good resil;ts there. Particularly to Bob up in the awards placings. Whatever next.
