Bearbrook 10k - Aylesbury - 9th AugustAnother one of my different races for the year as we're visiting friends in Oxford Saturday.
Anyone stumbled across this one before on their travels?

just a quick race report for this, very nice course, pretty much flat (well about 3 hills) and the last 2 miles pretty much on a downward slope. just over 500 runners i think, with last being around 1hr 24 - not bad at all.
I timed myself at 42:00, well down on my PB but considering this years injury/illness probs very happy with the overall run.
Sarah had a fantastic run! With the plan of just a "fun run" because we were away for the weekend, not only did she run her quickest time for 3 years but ran the 2nd 5k 1 min 26 faster than the first, finishing in a great time of 55:20!!

Thanks guys, the 10am start was good, so my old enemy HEAT didn't get a look in. (Why do so many summer races start at 11am)??? Also, as you said Bobby, totally different head on when there's no pre-race banter about times, conditions etc etc..........even Pete got a thank you on the final lap round the field rather than my ususal p**s off!!!!!
Great, well organised run if anyone is ever up that way!!
