Battersea Transendence 10K - 19 September 09 - ReportRan this one today. Runners World half marathon training schedule had me doing a 10k this weekend, and was the most convenient I could find.
4hrs sleep after attending friends wedding last night in Greenwich (no alcohol!), left in plenty of time, not thinking about road closures due to Skyride event tomorrow, flashed by speed camera too, could be an expensive race!
Started at least 10mins after start gun, not chipped but Garmin'd. Expecting to be at the back (after being lapped by the elites), I lapped others!
It's a 3lap race, marshalls were very friendly, small race, plenty of space, a really good race for a flat PB. First ever sub-60 = 59:36! Well happy!
Tapering now for RTTB next week with aim of sub-2:30.

Thanks All, it's particularly early for OH who had to get up at 5.30am just to support ...
It's the wierdest feeling since I'm always at the back, that I overtook after being 9mins late to the start (see above).
Roll on Southend 10k... sub 59:00 : :nike:
