Too much clutter

Dear Administrator

Would it be possible to delete all the old/redundant/boring topics off the Club Forum, please? I'm of limited intelligence and very IT low-tech and I can't find any relevant topics on the forum, because there are too many and I don't know where to look.

Perhaps where there have been no postings for, say a month, the topic could be deleted.

Thanks
mikemoreton

Spooky

Why dont you just click on the ..'any new posts since last visit' tag?

Regards

Mike

my link shortcut is this

http://benfleetrunningclub.myfast...org/search.php?search_id=newposts

which takes me to the "new posts since my last visit" page.

If you haven't logged in, then it will prompt you to do first.

Karl

How do you add a really big picture into a thread reply

As in the "At Last !!" thread pictures

( Not that I've got a big picture to add in )

Regards

Mr Frusli

Open the picture (which I assume is on another website)
Right click on it and choose PROPERTIES
In the box, where the ADDRESS is listed, you need to highlight all the address, starting with http://..etc.
Then, with all the address highlighted, and your mouse over the highlighting RIGHT CLICK again and select COPY..OK so far ?

Close the properties box.

Then open a new thread reply as normal.
Click in the text reply box where you normally type your witty reply.

Right click and select PASTE, and this will paste the whole address into the reply.

Lastly you need to tell the reply box that it is an image.

Again select the whole address by highlighting it and then go to above the text box line and click "Img" which will surround the whole address with the correct codes to make it a picture.

Click PREVIEW to make sure you have done it all right

Sorry you lost me on .... Witty Reply !!

How can I make this bigger ....

Now that's a question worth answering  geek
Karl C

It is governed by the original picture size, I am afraid.

(you could save the picture, open it in PSP, resize it, re-save it back to the web using FTP and then re-link to it - but I think that may be a little long winded)
mikey

Sorry slept  through most of that !!

Any chance of re-posting in "Non-Techno-Geek" ?
Karl C

Save the picture onto your computer (right click, save picture as)
Open it in a artist package like Paint Shop Pro (PSP) or similar
Use the resize option to make it bigger. Re save it.
Email it to me and I will upload it to our server yours File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and then I will send you the location. Use this new location address to link to the picture on the forum.

Non-Techy enough ?

(Still think it is longwinded just to win the Top Trumps award.)

mikey

ok will think about it ....

Karl C

OK, fancy a holiday whilst you wait..........

mikey

Are you telling me that's the actual picture size on the web ?

Amazing !!

Afraid I can't chat any more ...

Got to leave work for the running club

Mr F

Is it me ... But is your cottage sinking ?
Karl C

sorry didn't reply last night (off to my local running club)

Yes, this was the size of the pic on the web.
