It's pretty flat. One long, very gradual climb as I recall. Got a number and hoping to get there in time from work. If I'm late I'll just cycle round on me bike dishing out abuse or encouragement...depends on the face really.

Mike

You live in Hockley .... ( Gods Own Running Country )

And you don't do hills !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Baddow as a few long drags, and one major undulation around miles 8 / 9.

But nothing compared to the grandeur awaiting you a mere footstep outside your front door

The club is meeting at Hockley Woods tonight

Get out there and run

Mikey

Yes I know i live in Hockley. But as I only started running last September I was treated to training along the seafront by Jez. I have recently progressed to casual jog around Hockley Woods on a thursday complete with dog!!

Wife also jogs with me. (I am still a slowcoach)

Mike M - I too live in GORC and will be at the Woods run tonight.....I will be the one carrying and empty box of biscuits and wearing a pristine Benfleet 15 Race number........and Mikey is right - there are many hills in Hockley good enough to train on......

It does make is easier if you call everyone Mike.

Something to do with the in-breeding, I believe.

Mike Mike Mike Karl (surely some mistake),

This reminds me (once again) of the Python's Bruces sketch. So the solution is simple you should change your name to 'Bruce' (except Karl who should change his to Mike otherwise it would get confusing).

Cheers,

John (happy that he has at least the same amount of letters as 'Mike')

I've always said "better to be in-bred than bred-out".

You Raleigh bunch should be able to relate to that !

Think the number of Mike’s , Michael’s , Mikey’s , Ernie’s ( Aussi Mike’s )
Has more to do with the origins of their name rather than in breeding

A quick web search bring up the following illuminating results :

Michael, a 2-syllable boy's name of Hebrew origin, means: Who is like God?.

Karl, a 1-syllable boy's name from “Karlraper” of Old English/Teutonic origin, means: Transporter and distributor of farm waste – Also associated with Rose growers

Isn’t the web wonderful

Exactly Mikey1 -

I have been weighed down all my short (non-vet) life by everybodies elses Sh1t.

I just transport and distribute. I myself do not produce.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Karl,

If you do not produce the said sh1t in question. Does it mean you are full of it?

Think I better go hide now.

Mike M

PS. Jez introduced me to some hills this morning. Well to you lot they are probably slopes.

i second that Steve, a courageous run by everyone in what turned out to be nasty and horribly warm weather. My hat off to all that finished.

it was also nice to see so many club runners out, the most i've seen at one event this year i believe.

Well done to Sally for such a big PB, and to my dad as well who took 7 mins off his PB. Not bad for such an old man tongue

Well done all who competed on Sunday. Especially those who PB'd. Good to see another healthy turnout for BRC.

Also congrats to Debbie Slack who had a 2nd place vet.
