Right kids, Bobby has been begging up more drivers required for the club ultra on Sunday 20th but I thought I'd start a thread as well.

Admittedly it's been a few years since me maths degree but when I looked at the list last Tuesday it seemed pretty clear that the number of runners was greater than the number of seats available. To re-iterate if you're not running the ultra or if you are but have a friend or partner that can help out with driving then please get their name on the list. It doesn't matter if they need to get away straight after and wont be available for manning feed stations and helping out along the route, my primary concern at the moment is shipping all runners to the start. Otherwise I might have to hold a London Marathon style ballot!

Graham/Bobby
Just a thought I dont mind driving to the start with a few people in my car, as long as someone can drop me back to it once finished, not ideal but might help ??

Currently we have exactly the right number of seats as we have drivers and runners. Not exactly ideal!

Bobby & Morgan. You have specified your cars hold 3 people including yourself. Please tell me you meant three people plus yourselves.

Given the margins I have to work with I desperately need some predicted pace for the following runners. I did try your club contact numbers yesterday:

Rhiannon Quinn
Adam Chapman
Graeme Moore

If you dont let me know soon I'll put you with Toddy running 6:30's  Very Happy

I will not be up the club tomorrow but will give Clive info for runners & drivers. Exact start times for all and more detailed instructions for drivers will be at the club Thursday and here on the website. I am waiting confirmation of another possible driver, plus I need details for those above before finalising. I'll leave a contact number for all with Clive. Feel free to call me.

Can all drivers please leave a mobile number with Clive tomorrow if you are not at the club Thursday. Or PM to me.

A totally useless post, but wanted to say I would offer to help but have 18m (Brentwood half + 5) on Sunday currently planned, if my body's capable as currently a bit kind of ill/not up to it. If anything changes, in that I get more ill, I'll let you know as I can help then! (It's complicated!)

Hope you get your people you need... have a good ultra.

Hi Graham,

Yep that is 3 runners and myself - I could do 4 but I'd need 3 smallish runners for the back Smile

Nice one! 3 did seem an odd number.

A little bird told me Mr Dear might be available......any truth in that rumour Steevee D? Could really do with one more so Clive can stay at home. Otherwise we'll be dragging him out and he is supposed to be striving towards semi-retirement. Surely we can get one waffer thin driver....?

Hiya Claire. Yes I have you down as a driver - very kind off you to volunteer. Hope you can still help coz we currently dont have any spare seats!

I have you down coincidentally to drive Jo (& Jackie & Andy) to the start, so leaving Clive & Lyn's at 8.25. Will let you know which water stations. Maps, lists, all info, water and cups etc all be at Clive & Lyn's on Sunday. If you do have a small folding table that would be useful.

If you cant make it Jo will have to run to the start and her dinner plans will slip to late supper.

Couple of amendments. Isla Sinclair is replacing Glenis in Bobby's car for the first group leaving Clive's at 8:15.

Morgan is now taking two Steve's and Toddy & Dessie - leaving Clives at 9:05. Free's up Clive.

There was one more runner so far who dropped out. Pretty sure it was Gary Pitman, which means a runner from Daniel's car can jump in Andy's.

Updated driver list will be at Clive's for the drivers, along with water station duties etc.
