Now, I am no idiot and really hoped the super "Pasta Express" cooker with thermal lid and wrap - "cooks pasta in mins" would actually work.

For those of you not in the know the super "Pasta Express" is a clear plastic tube (3" diam) which has super thermal properties. You put the pasta in, fill with boiling water and leave to cook. Apparently it cooks in mintues and saves you hours.

Now, I have tried this twice, and unless someone out there can advise just how much of an idiot I am being, it is useless !!!

The 2nd time I left pasta in there (for 20 mins) it still came out a little more than al dente !

saw one of these on my mums kitchen counter looked like a bit of a silly gadget to me. ill ask her if shes used it
