Thanks everyone.
Got to admit in getting it wrong at the start so sorry Andy and also he was catching me at mile 6/7.
Luckily or unlucklily as he would see it, he took the right course through the stinging nettles and I run the other side of the fence on a track which was really an unfair advantage and gained a few minutes.
Glorious day but tiring at the end.
Organisers are planning more trails from this pub.
Deb, you will join us one day before the cross countries which I know you adore so much and no not just for the alcoholic beverages either.
Ernie, drugs me! how very dare you! running on the drug of life my friend with a few beers thrown in. I think you need the drugs test after the Baddow run. Ernie (Usain Bolt) Jewson. |

I feel a conspiracy here Andy - what with Ernie taking me out training on a trail run yesterday which I strangely enjoyed (though I could happily have passed on the horrible hill he made me run up to finish!).
I am honestly far better at the drinking than the trail running Andy... |

That's maybe why i get lost so much. Don't drink before the run. Better still I'm with mike, just drink!
And as for you Debbie, how comes Ernie gets to run with all the girls? You will succumb to trail running (cross country with alcohol at the end!) |

Ah it's Ernie's charm and charisma Andy - either that or his gels and salt tablets!
Hmm cross country with alcohol it's starting to sound more appealing...
Try alcohol without the cross country and we might be getting somewhere... :blackeye:
