Hi Pammie
A few of us ran it last year, it's great fun. The course is set around the tank training grounds of Aldershot Barracks. So as you can imagine it is very muddy, although last year it was frozen solid around a majority of the course.
There are also cargo nets to scramble under and lots of water to run through which ranges from ankle deep puddles to large knee-waist deep pits.
It is not very hilly but I would imagine if it had been warmer and muddier last year, it would have been a lot more tiring on the legs.
If I wasnt running Luton this year I would have gone back for more, your friend should go and enjoy it there is a great fun atmosphere among the runners.
Cheers
