| For those needing a lift or wanting someone to follow to get to Stubbers then we're meeting at Tarpots (opposite the snooker centre) at 9 am. |

Well done to all who ran the XC today.
Few pics - apologies as I wasn't in much of a fit state to take them after my run.
Waiting for an official post on here, but I do believe the Benfleet Team carried on their winning ways !
Pic on the photo site

thanks to those cheering us on and Clive , we runners have it easy but standing out there in the cold and wet takes alot.
nice to see when i was warming down i think it was ian j running up the final hill overtaking the person ahead with a huge smile on his face . good on yer |

Yes, I started in the clear blue skies at 7.30am, but by Basildon it was a blizzard. Nice to hear all the BRC cars honking me as they sped by. Through Dunton and onto the 186 it was starting to ease off and I was drying out in the wind. White Post Farm and up to Stubbers was the easy bit. Mike J overtook me on his bike, and my jaw had frozen solid by then so just managed to pass pleasantries with him. Got to Stubbers at 10.31pm and missed the start of the race. Glad in a way as my route was planned as 17 miles, but ended up 19 miles so didn't feel the need to run the XC as well.
Well done to all those who did run. Another great victory.
Apologies for the blurred photo's, think I was shivering too much ! |

I had forgotten about the last hill after the first lap, so I was glad to still be running and not walking.
Must be those hill reps last week :blackeye:
