Not sure if anybody else has been to the Redbridge Cycle Center, but I spent the morning over there today and was really impressed.

It has a combination of tracks giving options of Hill training or staying on the Flat for speed work. Alternatively just enjoy the ride without traffic, pot holes, manholes etc. This morning there was just myself and 2 mates and 1 other cyclist on the 2km circuit, although Im sure it must get a little busier at weekends.

I appreciate it is a bit of a drive, it took me about 40 mins. I have to say though the it was worth the drive and the £3.50 entry fee. It has a small area indoors for drinks and snacks, so even in the winter there is a somewhere to warm up.

There is also a Mountain bike or BMX track around the road circuit.

Details here

I will be going again soon, if anybody is interested in joining me let me know.

Some weekends circuit is closed for racing, so check calender before you go.

Been meaning to have a look at the RCC for a while.
It's only round the corner from Tracys and we've run past it on the way to Hainault Forest / Fairlop Waters for a Sunday run.
You can see the main building on the top of the hill as you come up Whalebone Lane and we thought it was part of the golf club at first.

Aaah a ride without traffic, manholes and potholes is worth £3.50 of anyones money  Very Happy ... although if you do want some proper potholes you won't go far wrong on the A12 on the way there  Very Happy

Keep us posted Andy, I'll be up for that.
